Great site I just discovered you! I'm seeking detail on bombing of Cafe de Paris March 8, 1941; if Archives has info and photos to place on your site re that night, I'd be grateful. My dad survived that Cafe incident.

Hello Maggie, Have you read the story about Snake Hips Johnson who was performing the night Cafe de Paris was bombed? It's in the People section of this site. It would be great if you could add the story about your father to the website. It's quite simple to do by following the instructions above.

You can also visit the Westminster Archives website www.westminster.gov.uk/archives to find out more information about the Cafe de Paris incident.

Kind regards, Camilla

Hi, Could you mention an area in London that had bawdy cafés or cabarets in 1944? Would the West End be considered, if not, where? Thank you. Enjoy your information. Red
